Honey Bear earns NAEYC accreditation AND opens Infant and Toddler Center

Honey Bear Learning Center has earned a five-year renewal on their accreditation through the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), a distinction the program has held since 1995. NAEYC is a professional membership organization that works to promote high-quality early learning for all children, birth through age 8, by connecting practice, policy, and research. NAEYC advances a diverse, dynamic early childhood profession and supports all who care for, educate, and work on behalf of young children. In earning this distinction, Honey Bear scored an average of 98.7% among the following standards; relationships, curriculum, teaching, assessment of child progress, health, teachers, families, community relationships, physical environment, and leadership and management. The program proved over 1000 criterion indicators in order to earn their re-accreditation.
Honey Bear takes great pride in their highly educated and skilled staff, who earned classroom observation scores of 99%. When asked to comment on the process of re-accreditation, Infant & Toddler Lead Teacher, Catie Lambert said “It was easy to be assessed because we treat every day as if an inspector is here.â€
